Tri-Axe Glass–        Multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate that offers a precise and responsive ride in any Âterrain or snow conditions.
      Â
      Â
Tail V Carbon–        Carbon fiber runs from the tail inserts to the tail contact points to provide added edge to edge response and spring in the tail.
      Â
Sidewalls
      Â
UMHW PE–        Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene has one of the highest impact strengths of any plastic out there, which means it can take a beating and look as good as new. For additional durability, the tip and tail sections are stitched to the core for a tighter bond.
      Â
Base
      Â
Sintered Durasurf 4001–        The gold standard in bases. The 4000-series sintered bases have a higher density than other options on the market, and are therefore more durable.       Â
Topsheet
      Â
Rugged Topsheet–        Polymide is eco friendly and made from castor beans. The topsheet is durable and resistant to scratches and scuffs.

Karakoram UltraClips and Active Joining–        Karakoram UltraClips and Tip-Locks use Active Joining to spring load the seam of your splitboard, eliminating the rattling shearing, and rolling inherent to passive slip-fit connections. Simply close the lever to lock in the most responsive ride.
      Â
      Â
Skin Attachment–        Tip holes (for Pomoca Z-Clips) and tail notches.
      Â
      Â
   Shifted Touring Bracket Position

Binding Compatibility
      Â
Rooted Inserts–        The odds of pulling out inserts on a snowboard are about zero, but just to make sure Weston have reinforced all of the inserts areas with precision-cut sheets of flax. This improved durability and naturally dampens chatter. Additionally, flax is a sustainable crop and is good for the environment.
      Â
      Â
Split Tech–        Weston doesn’t skimp on their splits. You’ll see a full inner metal edge, complete with sidewall and dampening tape. Also, when facing a kick-turn on a steep slope, you want all the help you can get – that’s why Weston balance’s their splits so that they are tail heavy.

-    Terrain:    Splitboarding                                    SplitboardingA splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you’ve reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it’s important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.           Â
