The Völkl Flair 81 Skis + iPT WR XL 11 TCX GW Lady Bindings are the perfect choice for the technically precise skier who finds satisfaction in well executed turns, with enough width underfoot for fun in a few inches of fresh, too. The Flair 81 is remarkably easy to ski and lets you go longer with less exertion, but still holds a clean turn and feels confident on hard snow. A great frontside ski for advanced to expert, but less aggressive or lighter frontside skiers.

Rocker Type

Alpine Tip & Tail Rocker– Camber combined with subtle tip and tail rocker gives the ski unbelievable edge hold and power while retaining a high degree of ease of turning.

3D.Ridge Technology– This unique construction is characterized by a raised central ridge that flattens and thins dramatically toward the edges of the ski both in front and back of the binding. The result is a reduction in mass that enhances the agility of the ski while retaining the precision, power and pressure distribution where the boot contacts the ski.

Binding Plate

iPT Wideride XL– Marker and Völkl developed the iPT Wideride system with a 30% greater than standard contact surface. On top of that, the binding is mounted significantly closer to the edge of the ski. This helps the energy flow more directly and continuously to the edges. This makes wider skis more agile, responsive and easier to control. The skis are better in tune with the skier’s signals and application of pressure and edge for a precise and powerful characteristic.

Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.

Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.

Turning Radius: Short Short< 16 m radius is best for carving.

Tail Type: Flat FlatThis is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
