This descendent of the original Bibby hasn’t changed much over the past decade, simply because there wasn’t really anything wrong with it from day #1. The Moment Wildcat Skis retain the same powder-busting 116mm waist, the same playful demeanor that still has some guts when it comes to dealing with hardpack, and much improved topsheet durability. A proven favorite in snowy western climes, the Wildcat has become a daily driver for many who have come to think of it as much more than a powder ski.

Rocker Type

Mustache Rocker– Rocker at the tip and tail and camber underfoot allows for incredible float and maneuverability in the trees and chutes while maintaining a significant amount of edge hold for both the icy runouts and the groomers.

Core

Poplar / Ash Wood Core– Full length, knot free, vertically laminated in house. Moment’s aspen/ash core provides a unique blend of liveliness and outstanding dampening, allowing for playful platforms that charge hard.

Laminates

Carbon Fiber Hybrid Composite Structure– A custom blend of triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber helps give this ski its torsional rigidity along with added longitudinal pop.

VDS Damping– Rubberized VDS foil is placed at strategic locations throughout the construction to increase bond strength and provide vibration damping for more stability and increased control.

Sidewalls

ABS Sidewall– Extruded sidewalls constructed of modified Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) provide stiffness, dampening, durability. Allow for more impact resistance and easier repairs that stay put so you can bring the abuse year after year, season after season.

Base

7500 Series Carbon Base– Carbon infused sintered UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene). Harder, faster and with better wax absorption and retention than extruded bases this is the industry leader for performance and longevity.

Edges

2.2 Euro Edge– There are only handful of edge manufacturers in the world and Moment go straight to the source in Europe to offer the best edge possible. They do additional heat treating and bonding prep in house to make sure your edge stays sharper, lasts longer and can handle a beating.

Graphics

Textured Nylon Topsheet– Moment use a textured nylon topsheet material enhanced with sublimated graphics‒a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to silkscreen. This topsheet material ensures optimal durability and impact resistance while maintaining crisp and bright graphics.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Terrain: Big Mountain, Powder Big MountainBig mountain skis are designed for charging big lines with high speeds and big airs. These skis varry in width from wide, powder-oriented skis for skiing Alaska spines to narrower, mixed condition skis for ripping the beat up headwall at your local mountain. Skis in this category tend to be on the stiffer side, often with more rocker in the tip and less in the tail. PowderThese skis are for the deep days. If you like to find powder stashes at your local resort, go on backcountry missions for the freshest of fresh or heli ski trips to BC, powder skis are what you need to stay afloat. Skis in the powder category are wide and most often have some form of rocker or early rise plus a relatively soft flex. Many powder skis today are versatile enough to handle mixed conditions and harder snow.

Skis: No Bindings

Ability Level: Advanced-Expert Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you’ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.

Turning Radius: Long Long> 22 m radius is best for powder and big-mountain.

Tail Type: Full Twin Tip Full Twin TipDesinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.
