A favorite among working class skiers – patrollers and instructors, among others – the K2 Mindbender 106 C W Skis offer an uncanny blend of soft snow float and effortless turns. K2 starts with an Aspen Micro Block core and adds their proprietary Spectral Braid technology to wrap the wood in fiberglass and carbon. A long. gradual tip rocker profile gives the 106 C effortless deep snow performance but ample camber underfoot means it still does groomers with precision and confidence. A fan (and staff) favorite in the Pacific Northwest.

Rocker Type

All-Terrain Rocker– Skis with All-Terrain rocker have a gradual rise to the tip for great versatility in all conditions, with a short, low rise in the tail for added control variable snow.

Core

Aspen Micro Block Core– Many small stringers of Aspen give a consistent flex, smooth feel, and damp ride.

Bio Resin– Increases bonding with the core, adds cold temperature strength, and is more sustainable than traditional resins.

Spectral Braid– K2’s Patented Spectral Braid is a first of its kind variable angle reinforcement that allows for precision-tuned torsion and flex by altering the fiber orientation along the length of the ski. This makes the ski feel lively, energetic, and remarkably composed.

Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.

Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.

Turning Radius: Short Short< 16 m radius is best for carving.

Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip Partial Twin TipPartial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
