The stiffest and most responsive of Gnu’s “Speed/In” series bindings, the GNU Freedom Snowboard Bindings live for big lines and ginormous drops, and make getting in and out of your board a snap for booting to the goods. Loaded with a stiff, powerful flex and extra burly straps and highbacks, these bindings will take whatever you can dish out.

Highback

Alu Heelcup Reinforced Highback– For response and precision at speed.

Reclining Highback– Rear entry advantage. Makes entry and exit incredibly fast and easy, with one hand.

Highback Rotation– Highbacks can be rotated laterally to find the custom support angles that work for your style of riding.

Straps

Auto Open System– Upper strap opens auto-“magically” when highback reclines for a quick, easy and extra large entry and exit zone.

Cable Redirection– Ensures maximum freedom of movement of boot. Reduces strain when closing highback.

Toe Cup Wrap Strap– Secures boot in place for a perfect fit each time. Wrap design provides more support and response while eliminating wedge and cinch pressure.

Buckles

Auto Lever– Only one click to apply the right amount of pressure. No more fumbling with ratchet buckles.

Micro Buckle on Ankle Strap– Rider can adjust strap tension while on the go. Tighten a couple clicks for a big hit or loosen for different terrain. Release strap for additional exit and entry space in steep terrain.

Pressure Release Button– Can be pressed manually to relax ankle strap pressure on front after run while boots remains secure in binding. Increased blood flow keeps feet comfortable and warm.

Ability Level: Advanced-Expert Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you’ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

Flex Rating: Stiff StiffThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers’ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
