Powder and groomers might seem like complete opposites, but in fact The Navigator Snowboard thrives ripping on both. Its classic directional profile features a medium flex, tapered parabolic sidecut, and Hover Core with Technora Flax inserts, which creates a super playful ride that arcs turns just as well as it surfs over them. Born out of a need for versatility, the Navigator shows its stripes at the end of your favorite sidecountry trailhead, guiding you through the pow and annihilating the snow. The latest model has an upgraded Hyperdrive™ base which makes it faster and funner than ever.

Rocker Type

Resort V2 Directional Profile– This revolutionary all-terrain shape provides the best of both worlds. It has a raised camber platform through the inserts to retain high-speed edge hold through variable terrain, elevated contact points to land and float in powder, and Flat Kick tip and tail arcs for faster, more aggressive transitions.

Shape

Parabolic Radical Taper– A PARABOLIC sidecut consists of a mirror-symmetrical curve. In snowboard terms, this design creates a board with a deeper sidecut and a quicker turning point in the center compared to radial arcs. A Radial sidecut is engineered for deep powder but still versatilearound the mountain, this RADIAL sidecut iscomplemented by a TAPERED TAIL. This narrowertail section naturally sinks in the powder while thewider nose section floats above the snow line. Theresult is less work and more fun as the board surfson one smooth continual arc.

Holysheet™ Tri/Bi Fiberglass– Developed over a three-year span, this advanced resin system has a bio-content of 60% renewable, agricultural raw material. It is plant based that does not compete with primary food sources and is produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions. In production, it has a low-temperature requirement with a high yield output. This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable.

2 x 30mm Technora™ + Flax Boosters– With an excellent tensile strength and fatigue resistance, Technora™ is an aramid fiber that functions as a shock absorber and energy source when integrated into a snowboard construction layup. CAPiTA has interwoven Technora™ with an extremely lightweight and all-natural Flax fiber to invigorate every construction combination with maximum turning and ollie power.

Terrain: All-Mountain, Powder All-MountainAll-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. PowderPowder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider’s stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.

Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced Intermediate-AdvancedWhether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.

Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.

Flex Rating: Medium MediumThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers’ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
